Formed in Minneapolis MN, Marie’s Island is the project of Kate Stiglicz (Vocals) Jonah Broberg (guitar, vocals), and Kyle Petersen (instruments and production). Marie’s Island started with Kate asking childhood friend Kyle and swing dancing friend Jonah to jam. After a few hangouts Kate and Jonah began playing around with song writing and thus the jam turned into a band. Kyle had lots of experience playing and recording music from his previous band Convent Bonfires and was stoked. Kyle had just moved back to his childhood home in MN, shortly after moving his parents finished building a studio space in the back of the property which Kyle was allowed to turn into a recording studio. From here the trio would create the songs that would become Marie’s Island.
